RTÉ seeking Kildare people thinking of downsizing

Interested in downsizing? RTE is looking for you

RTÉ is looking for people who are in thinking of downsizing from their family home to take part in a new property series.

Called 'Goodbye House' the program will  help the homeowners by helping search for their ideal house to downsize to.
“We want to talk to people who are considering downsizing,” programme producer Leah Wallace explained.

“We understand people downsize for different reasons. Maybe their house is too big, children have all moved out, they may have lost their partner and they don't need the space. Or, perhaps they need something that’s all on ground level.

Whatever the reason we want to hear from them. The brand new programme will air later this autumn, with ‘Goodbye House’ expected to be a heart-warming celebration of a family home and the family that lived in it.

Each week the audience will meet a homeowner who wants to downsize and with the help of their children or other family members, their new home will be chosen. While reliving old memories from their old family home, three siblings or relatives will go ahead to see if they can find the perfect new home for the homeowner.
