Gardai had to intervene five separate times
Gardai have reporting an up turn in public order incidents over the bank holiday weekend.
Sources report five separate incidents occured over the course of Saturday night, leading to arrests under the Public Order Act.
A number of males have been arrested and will likely face court action. A Garda source told the Leinster Leader that this was considerably more than usual for a Saturday night and speculated that it was because it was a long weekend.
The type of incidents included walking in the middle of the street, and trying to gain access to business premises where they were not wanted. The source said that generally, and thankfully, Naas has witnessed a decrease in public order incidents.
