The Defence Forces Training Centre (DFTC) will host a Gala Evening of Music & Song at St Brigid’s Church, Curragh Camp on Sunday November 4.

The concert, which begins at 7.30pm, will be in aid of the Curragh Lourdes Fund, the Curragh Military Museum and the Defence Forces Benevolent Fund.

The performances will feature the Baldonnel Singers, the Army No. 1 Band and special guest sopranos Paul Linehan and Rachel Croash. There will be a World War 1 remembrance theme to this year’s concert.

The Curragh Lourdes Fund was established in 2010 to bring children with special needs from the surrounding localities on the military pilgrimage to Lourdes.

Tickets for the Gala concert are available at numerous outlets around Kildare — Harte’s Restaurant in Kildare town, The Kiosk Florist Shop in Newbridge, Woodbine Bookshop in Kilcullen, and Barker and Jones Bookshop and Jam Music in Naas. Tickets are also available on the door on the night and are priced at €20.
