Sallins residents are demanding action to alleviate flooding on the Clane side of the town.
A resident who contacted the Leader said the problem is apparent near the medical centre and St. Bridget’s Terrace.
He added that the flooding creates problems for children getting off buses.
“This had been going on for some time now and it was raised at a council meeting last February,” the resident said.
He said the water also makes it difficult for anybody crossing the road.
“Basically people have to walk out and across the road through the water or around it and pedestrians are getting wet. As the winter arrives with the possibility of frost this could get worse.”
