Owen C Lynch and his choir performed at the vigil
A huge crowd turned out for the Hope(D) candlelit vigil in Newbridge last Wednesday, October 10 to mark World Mental Health Day.
The vigil started at the Hope(D) premises on Henry Street, Newbridge at 7.30pm and ended in Liffey Linear Park, with refreshments afterwards at Newbridge Town Hall.
Moorefield Senior Football team were in attendance supporting Niall Hurley Lynch, who spoke about his own battle with mental health.
On his Facebook page, Owen C Lynch said; "so happy to have been part of the Hope(D) Candlelight Vigil last night in The Linear Park, Newbridge. So many emotions ... a powerful, poignant and thought provoking evening. Congratulations to Terri and all her colleagues/helpers at HOPED for organising such a special and important event within our community and for making us all aware of the wonderful help and support available for anyone who may be struggling or find themselves in a dark place."
