It's understood gardai from Naas and Clane are engaged in a search operation for a missing woman.
It's understood the search is taking place at the River Liffey at Alexandra, Clane with the aid of the Garda helicopter.
Gardai at Naas confirmed to the Leader at 17.00 that a search has been going on for a woman from the area, who has been missing since last night.
The woman is described as being blue eyed and blonde. She was wearing a blue Puma hoodie.
