Naas Courthouse

A man allegedly caught in possession of approximmately €120,000 worth of drugs has been refused bail.

Robert Strzelczyk (35) with an address listed as 32 Moorefield Park, Newbridge appeared before Naas District Court on September 13 last charged with possession of MDMA, and possession for sale and supply.

It is alleged that on March 5 2018, €80,000 worth of drugs was found at the above address.

Detective Garda Seamus Doyle said that a makeshift laboratory with three machines used for manufacturing MDMA pills was also found.

On the same date at an address in Aughrim Street, Dublin 7, it is alleged that €40,000 worth of Ketamine was found.

Detective Garda Seamus Doyle told the court that there were objections to bail because of flight risk, because Mr. Strzelczyk has no ties to the country.

Evidence was also given that a BMW and motorbike were seized, and that gardaí are satisfied there are no other assets.

Mr. Strzelczyk will appear back in court on September 20 for book of evidence
