Joe Mallon Motors, the Renault dealership based in Naas, is backing a new fighting promotion formed by Naas Kickboxing and Fitness Club.

Fighting Spirit was formed by the gym in 2017, and it is a new Irish fighting promotion featuring K1 Kickboxing and Thai boxing fights.

“Supporting a lot of local clubs throughout the decades in business, this is a new sport for Joe Mallon Motors to get involved with,” said a spokesperson.

“We like to support the local community and get involved with upcoming future stars.”

Best matches

Fighting Spirit events will feature some of Ireland’s best in domestic and international matches.

On September 22, in the Basketball Arena in Tallaght, it will host one of Irleand’s biggest kickboxing events, with over 16 kickboxing and Thai boxing fights.

The main header will be the Light Heavyweight ISKA World Kickboxing title fight between Dawid Blaszke and Kevin Ward.

Blaszke was born in Poland but has been living in Ireland for over 12 years, and he proudly represents this country on the big stage.

Naas Kickboxing’s Geoff Flanagan will also take on Lukasz Pryba of Eiremuaysiam in the 80kg ISKA kickboxing fight.
