Kildare restaurants in running for top awards

Nicola and Joseph Zammit of Two Cooks are nominated for Best Restaurant and Best Emerging Irish Cuisine.

A number of Kildare restaurants and their staff are in with a shout for numerous gongs at the All Ireland Restaurant Awards.

The All-Ireland Restaurant Awards 2018 will be taking place on May 14 at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road and Kildare county winners from each of the 16 categories will compete for Regional and All-Ireland titles in their respective categories.

In addition to the 16 categories already present in the Regional Awards, there will be the four national awards: Best Seafood Experience, Best Digital Marketing, Best Private Dining and Club and Best Cocktail Experience.

Kildare restaurants in the running include the Ballymore Inn in Best Casual Dining; Two Cooks Restaurant and Wine Bar for Best Emerging Irish Cuisine; Da Vinci's Italian Restaurant for Best Kids Size Me; Beetroot Healthy Food in the Best 'Free From' category; Oak Alley Restaurant and Cocktail Bar for Best World Cuisine; Barbara Snela of Novak's Restaurant for Best Restaurant Manager; The K Club for Best Wine Experience; Boyle’s Bar for Pub of the Year; L’Art du Chocolat for Best Café; Red Torch Ginger for Best Customer Service; Hartes of Kildare for Best Gastro Pub; The Linden Tree at Carton House Hotel for Best Hotel and Guesthouse Restaurant; La Brasserie for Best Newcomer; James Sheridan at Canteen Restaurant for Best Chef and Two Cooks for Best Restaurant.
