Planning application lodged for apartments on historic Clane site

A developer has made a planning application for a 29- unit apartment block at Cois Abhainn, Liffey Lodge.

North City Builders Ltd, who have made a number of applications over the past 17 years, want to demolish of existing buildings on the site including a residence and a shed and build the apartment development in one three and four storey block, with recessed balconies.

It plans (18/320) to have containing 7 one bed, 18 two bed and 4 three bed units.

The proposed site is close to a protected structure, a Motte Monument, the preservation of has been avidly pursued by Clane Community Council member, Tony McEvoy, in both the recent and not so recent past.
