Kildare mother Jennie O’Rourke, who is seven months pregnant, is one of five participants who will appear on the National Lottery Winning Streak game show on RTE One this Saturday.
Jennie is already mother of five-year-old twin boys. The Rathangan native will soon be taking maternity leave from her job with data support company, Pimbrook, based in Tramore, Co. Waterford.
Jennie was putting her twins Niall and Christopher to bed so missed her name being pulled from the drum to appear on the show. Her aunt, who lives in London and who watches Winning Streak faithfully every week, called her with the good news.
Jennie has been married to Derry-man Seamus for the past four years. Twins run in her family as her mum, Tessie, was also a twin. Tessie and her twin sister Lily will be in the audience to cheer Jennie on this Saturday along with Seamus, her boys and other friends and family.
Her dad Paddy will watch the show from home. Also attending will be her three sisters: Margaret, Imelda and Claire and her brother Padraig.
Jennie said her Winning Streak appearance could not have come at a better time given the new addition to the family and the fact she needs to upgrade her car.
The show will be broadcast at 8:15pm on RTÉ One, where presenters Marty Whelan and Sinead Kennedy will guide five players through the iconic show, which gives them the chance to win cash, cars and luxury holidays. One will get the once-in-a-lifetime chance to spin the Grand Prize Wheel with a maximum prize of €500,000.
The other four players chosen to participate in next week’s Winning Streak are: Danny Walsh from Edenderry, Co. Offaly; Frank Kelly from Renmore, Co. Galway; Claire Whelan from Blackwater, Co. Wexford, and Martin McCaughey from Carrickroe, Co. Monaghan.
