The developer behind plans to expand Applegreen services at the former Finlay’s showroom in Newbridge, has withdrawn their planning appeal against the €18,000 fee for development levies.

Late last year, the green light was given by Kildare County Council for the development.

However, the developer appealed the amount of levies charged in December to An Bord Pleanála.

The plans had been approved by the local authority with 34 conditions.

Petrogas Group Ltd plan to demolish the existing building at Moorefield Road to make way for a filling station service area, two food premises, off-licence, seating area and 25 parking spaces.
