Kildare County Council is to close the road from Barberstown roundabout to Celbridge for three days next month to facilitate surface water drainage works.
The temporary closure of the R403 from Barberstown Roundabout to the L5067, Ardrass (Steam Museum) Road, Celbridge will be put in place from Tuesday, April 3 until Friday, 6 between the hours of 9.30am to 16.30pm.
Diversions will be in place and will be clearly signposted. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained. . Travelling in an easterly direction from Clane on the R403 and northerly direction from Straffan on the L1011, the diversion route will be northbound along the R406 at Barberstown roundabout following sign for R406 Maynooth. At “Maxol” service station turn right following sign for R405 Celbridge. At Celbridge Famine Graveyard turn right on to Shackleton Road following sign for R449 Clane.
Travelling in a westerly direction from Celbridge on the R403 the diversion route will be eastbound along the R449 Shackleton Road following sign for R449 Maynooth. At Tesco, turn left following sign for R405 Maynooth. At “Maxol” service station turn left following sign for R406 Naas.
“Any inconvenience caused is regretted,” said the council.
