Dep Frank O’Rourke, has received confirmation that the National Transport Authority (NTA) it is examining the provision of a Bus service linking Maynooth, Celbridge and Tallaght.

“The NTA have confirmed to me that it has commenced an examination of the possibility of providing a direct bus connection between Maynooth, Celbridge and Tallaght," he said.

“Since getting elected, I have pressed the NTA to start considering the provision of orbital bus routes. I campaigned for the Naas to Blanchardstown route, linking Clane, Rathcoffey, Maynooth and Leixlip and I am delighted this is now in place from Monday last.”

He said many residents in Celbridge and Maynooth need to travel to Tallaght for work, attend hospital or go to college.

“I will continue to engage with the NTA and Public Transport providers to ensure that we make further progress on this route and on all public transport services," he said.
