Kildare County Council appeals for assistance in tracing burst watermain in Newbridge

Trying to locate burst watermain in Newbridge

Kildare County Council is asking householders in Newbridge to check for possible watermain pipe leaks near their homes.

“Kildare County Council request that all householders in the Pairc Mhuire, Piercetown and Charleton Avenue areas of Newbridge  please check their back gardens for possible watermain leaks. The watermains in this area are located in the back gardens of the properties which creates access difficulties with finding the issue. A leak could show in the form of water ponding or soft spots on grassed areas, under decking or beside extensions and sheds. It would also be helpful to check surface water drainage in the gardens for unusually large flows," said the council.

"If you find any of the issues mentioned or any related unusual occurrences, please contact Kildare County Council Waterworks Office at 045 431364. Your help would be appreciated."
