Motorists advised to drive slowly outside Caragh

The village of Caragh

Measures are being taken to tackle a dangerous bend on the outskirts of Caragh.

Naas Mayor Rob Power has asked Kildare County Council to replace the 60 kph speed limit signs at either side of the Castlekealy junction on the Clane to Caragh Road with signs should indicating that a dangerous bend lies ahead.

He said the location has been the scene of several accidents in the past few months.“Half a dozen accidents have happened there and one car was written of; though some of the accidents were minor,” he told a Naas Municipal District meeting.

Signs have put up recently urging motorist to reduce speed, according to KCC.
