Christmas greetings from Kildare soldiers abroad

Christmas wishes have been sent from Kildare soldiers abroad.

The largest troop missions are the 379 personnel serving with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and the 136 personnel with the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) on the Golan Heights in Syria.

There are also a number of Defence Forces personnel deployed in the service of peace to 11 other countries including Mali, The Democratic Republic of Congo and Western Sahara.

RQMS William Hallows from Clondalkin, Dublin; Sergeant Major Philip Hayden from the Curragh, Kildare, and CQMS Michael Stynes from the Curragh, Kildare (UNDOF) "We want to wish all of our families and friends a merry Christmas and a happy new year!"
