Make the most of the sunny weather in Laois as fine spell is set to break with a bang

According to Met Eireann, today will be breezy in Kildare. Frequent showers of rain are expected, some heavy and of hail with a risk of thunder, but there will be some spells of sunshine between showers.

Any wintry falls will be mainly confined to high ground. Maximum temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees.

Tonight will continue to be blustery with further showers, some heavy but mainly of rain. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees with fresh to strong and gusty northwest winds.

The snow and ice warning for the entire country remains in place until 8pm tonight.
