O Holy Night concert set to bring festive fun to Newbridge

Tenor Dave Maguire and Owen C Lynch at last year's event

Sunday December 17 sees the return of the annual O Holy Night concert at St Conleth’s Parish Church, Newbridge.

Presented by St Conleth’s Parish and well known singer, conductor and composer Owen C Lynch, O Holy Night is now in its 18th year and is eagerly awaited by audiences throughout Co Kildare and further afield.

Joining Owen and his spectacular choir, The Owen C Lynch Vocal Ensemble, on the night are soprano soloists Ruby Boland and Sharon Lyons, tenor Dave Maguire and the Newbridge Vocal Academy Youth Ensemble, a choir of students from Owen’s singing school.

The beautiful 20 piece O Holy Night Orchestra will accompany the performers and once again create their magic in a program to include Angels We Have Heard, In The Bleak Midwinter, What A Wonderful World, The Skaters Waltz, Winter Wonderland, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, Ring Christmas Bells, Silent Night, O Holy Night and many more festive favourites.

Audiences will also have the chance to raise their voices and join the choirs and orchestra for a rousing grand finale of familiar carols. Due to the popularity of this concert, early booking is very strongly advised. Admission is €20 and tickets are available from the Newbridge Parish Centre, Station Road, Newbridge on 045 431121 or from Veronica on 087 7940850.
