Kildare County Council are hosting a free playday at their offices at Aras Chill Dara in Naas tomorrow.
The National Playday event is being held as part of Culture Night weekend.
Events will take place from 12 noon until 5pm.
The line-up of indoor and outdoor activities set to delight children and adults alike will include ceramics, illustration, printmaking, recycling workshops, treasure hunt, colouring competition, sand sculptures, storytelling, magic shows, face painting, bouncy castles, a reptile village, sports and much more!
In addition, 1916 will be celebrated on the day with actors in uniforms, Michael Collins’ car, music and games of the time, a talk on Kildare in 1916, old Naas photos, a 1916 mobile workshop and many more activities. Participants are invited to put on their 1916 clothes as special prizes will be awarded for the best moustache, best costume and best hat.
