A football club (FC) based in County Kildare will host two clothes collections later this month as part of its fundraising efforts.

The latest move from Clongorey FC, which took to social media to announce the collections, echoes a similar fundraiser which was hosted by the club back in August of last year.

It also follows after the club held a separate collection yesterday (January 4 last).

According to the club, it will be accepting donations of "good quality items for re-use".

These items include:

  • Men's clothing
  • Women's clothing
  • Children's clothing
  • Paired shoes
  • Handbags
  • Towels
  • Hats
  • Bags
  • Scarves
  • Ties
  • Curtains
  • Belts
  • Soft toys, and;
  • Bedsheets

Anyone wishing to drop off these items can do so by leaving them at the club's official grounds (W12 TN25) between 12pm and 4pm on January 11, 2026 and January 18, 2026.

Lastly, Clongorey FC assured members of the public that all proceeds raised from the collections will go towards "much-needed pitch repairs and maintenance".

Anyone seeking further information about the collections is asked to contact Nicola on 083 056 1537.
