Around €2,000 worth of tools were stolen from a County Kildare premises, according to a member of An Garda Síochána (AGS).

The incident was discussed on a KFM radio programme yesterday, which featured Garda Mo Nerney as a guest.

She explained that the incident occurred between the evening of Wednesday, July 2 last and Thursday, July 3 last, on a premises located in the Kilgowan Wood region of Celbridge.

According to Gda Nerney, the perpetrator(s) stole around €2,000 worth of handheld tools from the site. Some of the tools which were stolen include a skill saw and a hammer drill.

She concluded by saying that while CCTV is currently "being canvassed" by AGS in relation to this crime, she added that anyone with information can contact Leixlip Garda Station on 01 666 7800 or Celbridge Garda Station on 01 6288222.

When asked by the Leinster Leader about this particular incident, a spokesperson for AGS replied: "Gardaí attended the scene of a burglary in Kilgowan Wood, Maynooth Road, County Kildare, that occurred between the hours of 6.30pm on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 and 7am on Thursday, July 3, 2025."

The spokesperson also said that the investigation is currently ongoing.
