Heartbroken family pay tribute to young girl who sadly died
Tributes have poured in for a young girl named Joy Bruzda Damasceno who sadly died recently.
Joy was from Kestral Manor, Drogheda in Louth and Maynooth in Kildare and has been paid tribute by those who knew and loved her dearly.
Joy died on 29th June 2025 suddenly at Temple Street Children’s Hospital in Dublin.
She was the dearly loved daughter of Justyna and Emerson and will be sadly missed by them, her brother Ben, her Babeczka and Vovó, Emerson's partner Caoimhe, her aunts Flavia, Fernanda and Dani and uncles Robert, Piotr, Clayton, Fernando and Anderson and their families, according to her RIP.ie.
Joy's funeral arrangements are as follows:
Reposing at F Watson & Son Funeral Directors, Dyer St, Drogheda (A92 W7EP) on Wednesday evening from 5pm until 7pm.
Funeral Mass on Thursday morning in St. Mary’s Church, James St, Drogheda at 11am (A92 XO96) which can be viewed live at www.stmarysdrogheda.ie
Burial afterwards in Calvary Cemetery. No flowers please. Donations, if desired, to https://www.lauralynn.ie/
Heartfelt messages have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and loved Joy, with one mourner writing,
"Heart breaking to hear about the loss of your daughter Joy, a beautiful, kind & mannerly girl. My thoughts and prayers are with you all as you bid farewell to your angel, Joy. May she rest in peace."

Another message said, "Dear Joy you were really a blessed daughter. You were exceptionally well in your manners and behaviours. We always cherish your love and care to our little ones. They will miss the care and affection of an elder sister like you. Dear Justyna and Emerson our deepest thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time. We will always remember your little angel in our prayers. Rest in peace dear Joy".
A mum in Maynooth in Kildare said, "To all Joy’s family and friends, I am so sorry for you all. This is unimaginable and heart breaking. I pray that in time you will find some comfort in her memory and the light she brought to your lives. No parent should ever have to go through this and we are all sending all of our love and prayers your way. May Joy’s beautiful soul rest in peace and her memory live on".
"Our beautiful little Joy, It's hard to believe that you are not with us anymore. You have always been the joy of your family, friends and loved ones, treasured by so many people who loved you so much. We will miss your voice, energy, your incredible smile and your affection. You will always be in our hearts and missed forever in our lives. You left us too soon...
May you rest in peace our little Joy," another tribute said.
