Plans lodged for 42 new homes in Athgarvan

Planning permission has been applied for the construction of 42 residential units on the Curragh Road in Athgarvan.

Dublin-based developer Voussoir Developments Limited wants to construct the units on a 1.69 hectare site at Curragh Road, Athgarvan.

The proposed 42 homes consist of: 

  • Eight two-bedroom mid-terrace houses (two storeys)
  • 22  three-bedroom semi-detached houses (two storeys)
  • 12 four-bedroom semi-detached houses (three storeys); all with associated private amenity garden areas.

The company has also requested permission for:

  • Approx. 2,376 square meters of public open space
  • Approx. 737 sqm of communal open space
  • The provision of 81 car parking spaces (80 standard spaces and one accessible space) and 12 secure visitor bicycle parking spaces
  • One new vehicular access / egress point via the Curragh Road
  • Two ESB substation kiosks
  • The diversion of 38kv ESB overhead lines underground
  • The erection of one new mast (approx 12m);
  • Site development and infrastructural works providing for water, foul and surface water drainage and all associated connections
  • All landscaping and boundary treatment works, relating to the installation of public lighting PV/solar panels, internal roads and footpaths
  • All associated site clearance, excavation and site development works.
