Food delivery driver had items stolen in North Kildare, gardaí say

A food delivery driver who was working in North Kildare had a bag stolen, according to gardaí.

The incident was discussed by Garda Chris Fallon of Leixlip Garda Station on KFM on Wednesday, August 21 last.

Gda Fallon said that in the early hours of Sunday, August 18 last, the driver delivered food to an address in Kilcock.

He explained: "While returning to his vehicle, he was intercepted a group of teenage girls who stole the bag out of his hand and ran off."

He added: "This was a terrible fright for the male, who was only doing his job."

Gda Fallon concluded by saying that anyone with information about the incident can contact Leixlip Garda Station on 01 666 7800.

When asked by the Leinster Leader about the incident, a garda spokesperson replied:  "Gardaí received a report of an incident of theft that occurred in Kilcock, County Kildare on Sunday, August 18, 2024.

"Investigations are ongoing at this time," they concluded.
