Kildare County Council said resurfacing works will be carried out on the R403 at Downing’s North near Prosperous until Friday.
An overnight road closure will be in place from 8pm until 6am.
A Council spokesperson said: "Your co-operation is appreciated and any inconvenience caused is regretted."
Meanwhile Kildare County Council said it is carrying out essential roadworks on the L6094 Usk to Dunlavin road.
Works, which began on July 31, should last approximately one week.
The council said that traffic control measures will be in place but added that no delays are expected.
