Runamuck Challenge coming to Coolcarrigan Estate in Naas this October

The Runamuck Challenge is set to return on Saturday, October 19, promising a day of mud, fun, and team bonding at Coolcarrigan Estate in Naas, Kildare. Organized by Bear Races, this year’s event  is expected to see a sell-out crowd of 3,500 participants, supported by over 90 dedicated volunteers. 

The Runamuck Challenge is a 5.5km course with 50+ obstacles designed to test endurance and  teamwork, offering participants a unique opportunity to experience the thrill of overcoming various  challenges. Catering to runners of all abilities and ages, the event ensures an inclusive and fun-filled  day for everyone involved. 

Tommy O'Brien, the Event Manager, emphasized the strong local support the event receives, stating, "The Runamuck Challenge thrives on the incredible backing from our local community. It's not just  about the race; it's about coming together to raise funds for our local sports clubs and charities. The  enthusiasm and participation we see each year truly highlight the appetite for fitness and team spirit within our community." 

The event plays a significant role in supporting local causes, with funds being raised for seven different  local sports clubs. Additionally, this year’s charity aspect aims to generate over €20,000 for both  local and national charities. Each runner receives a personalized fundraising page upon registration,  making it easy for them to contribute to these worthy causes.
