A woman with 74 previous convictions for road traffic-related offences was fined over a public disorder offence she committed in Naas.
Bridget Lynch, with an address listed as 1 Our Lady's Place in Naas, pleaded guilty to the offence when she appeared before substitute judge Nicola-Jane Andrews on Thursday, July 18 last.
Gardaí in Naas District Court told Judge Andrews that on August 14 last, the 40-year-old engaged in threatening and abusive behaviour towards another person at Our Lady’s Place.
The judge was told that she has 74 previous convictions, which defending solicitor David Powderly pointed out were all for road traffic offences.
He added that the incident originated from an argument between the two parties.
Judge Andrews fined Ms Lynch €250, and gave her six months to pay this fine.
