LATEST: Kildare creche seeking planning permission to build apartments

Big trade union wants creche reopenings to be delayed due to Covid-19

A creche in Naas is seeking planning permission to build five apartments on its site.

A planning application is being considered Kildare County Council for Little Harvard Childcare Ltd for the development in the Castle Farm area of Jigginstown.

Being planned is a creche with ten classrooms, a staff room and kitchen.

Also planned is a lift, plant room, offices, toilets, foyer and storage space, according to the Construction Information Services database.

The documents include plans for five apartments consisting of one 3-bed apartment, one 1-bed apartment and three 2-bed apartments.

The proposed development also includes car parking, bicycle parking and an open space.
