Major plan to redevelop the Wonderful Barn visitor attraction in Kildare

Plans have been lodged for the proposed redevelopment of the Wonderful Barn visitor attraction near Leixlip.

Kildare Co Council aims to restore the existing protected structures on the Barnhall site, including a house, a barn, a walled garden and two adjacent courtyards containing two stable buildings.

The proposed works are designed to protect and enhance the architectural heritage and amenity of the site.

The project will provide an integrated public amenity park and tourism destination.

The project is also aimed at fostering community engagement, providing diverse recreational and cultural amenities and to attract tourism to the site.
