Naas Racecourse hosts one of its flagship days this Sunday (19 May) - the Annual Royal Ascot Trials Day - with over €300,000 in prizemoney on offer for what is always a brilliant day's racing.
But there is much more on offer this time around with the racecourse celebrating its centenary of racing at the popular venue which has seen massive investment and improvements in recent years.
And with free admission a huge attendance is guaranteed for this annual and extremely popular event.
The card includes two Group Three races, the Goffs Lacken Stakes (Group 3) and the Coolmore Irish EBF Fillies Sprint Stakes (Group 3). There are also competitive Listed races with the Owenstown Stud Stakes and Sole Power Sprint Stakes.
And apart from the top class racing their is much more on offer on Sunday as amateur drama groups from throughout the country will be in attendance, stepping back in time to embrace the glamour of the 1920s showcasing vintage attire reminiscent of the era. Racegoers are encouraged to do the same.
The best 1920s inspired outfit on the day will be treated to a VIP Day at Naas races along with an overnight stay and dinner at Lawlor’s of Naas Hotel.
Along with an eight-race card, attendees will be treated to an array of entertainment, including live music, kids’ entertainment, sizzling BBQ’s and discounted hospitality packages.
