Fianna Fáil launches Kildare South local election candidates at Curragh Racecourse

Fianna Fáil launched its Kildare South local election ticket with the National Director of Elections, Minister of State Minister Jack Chambers.

The candidates contesting the local election in South Kildare are:

  • Mr David Owens
  • Mr Brian O’Loughlin 

Alongside current sitting councillors:

  • Cllr Brian Dooley
  • Cllr Veralouise Behan
  • Cllr Darragh Fitzpatrick
  • Cllr Suzanne Doyle
  • Cllr Noel Heavey
  • Cllr Robert Power

Fianna Fáil's candidate for the Midlands North-West constituency in the European Elections, Barry Cowen TD, also attended the event. 

Local Senator, Senator Fiona O’Loughlin  “This ticket represents the best of what Fianna Fáil has to offer for the people of Kildare.

"These candidates are a great bunch of public representatives and align their work with the values of our party”.

She continued “Fianna Fáil has a strong representation on the council at present, but I know if elected, these fantastic candidates will continue the momentum.

"They will bring new ideas all whilst delivering for the people and their local communities.”
