A young champion kickboxer is preparing to participate in three separate fighting events this Summer.
Shane Allison, who is from Ballybritas in County Laois and who goes to St Paul's Secondary School in Monasterevin, has been continuing his martial arts success.
Having just turned 18, Shane travelled with the National Taekwondo Team to compete in the ITF Taekwondo European Championships in Lublin, Poland from April 16 last to April 21 last.
Now, in addition to preparing for his Leaving Certificate exams, Shane has three upcoming events as a martial artist.
Shane is on the fight card at the Elite Kickboxing Show taking place in Clontarf later this month.
Then, in July, Shane will head to the Budo League in Liverpool to compete for a World Title.
Lastly, in August, Shane will compete with the National Team at the WAKO World Championships in Budapest, where he will compete in two sections: Light Contact and Kick Light.

Shane juggles a very tight schedule between his school work and training, and his schedule was truly pushed to its limits over the past year.
