LATEST: Kildare hotel wants to expand

A planning application was submitted to Kildare County Council for the expansion of a Kildare hotel. 

Orlego Limited has sought approval for the construction of an extension at the rear of the Clanard Court Hotel on the Dublin Road in Athy. 

The proposed works include a bar to service the existing garden area. 

Also in the designs is a staff canteen and toilets. 

A covered external seating area is also being planned. 

The total floor area of the proposed development is 92 square metres. 

The estimated value of the project is over €260,000, according to Construction Information Services database.
