Several motorists were driving well above the speed limit of 60km/h.
Gardaí carrying out speed checks in a residential area of Co Kildare have caught several motorists travelling above the speed limit.
According to An Garda Síochána, officers carried out the checks on the Barrettstown Road in Newbridge following complaints from local residents.
During the operation, officers spotted several motorists driving well above the speed limit of 60km/h.
The offending drivers were all issued a €160 fine and three penalty points.
