A brand-new entrance is being sought for a cemetery located in the Clane-Maynooth Municipal District (MD).

The matter was discussed at the latest MD meeting on Friday, April 5 last.

At the meeting, Fianna Fáil Cllr Daragh Fitzpatrick motioned for Kildare County Council to investigate the possibility of changing the entrance to Balinadrimney Cemetery.

His motion was seconded by Fine Gael Cllr and Cathaoirleach of the MD, Cllr Tim Durkan.

The council told him in response: "The MD Engineer will assess this request and if suitable, a Section 38 process will commence."
