A novice Kildare driver has been arrested for speeding at 141 kilometres per hour in an 80kph zone.
The official Garda Traffic account on X / Twitter explained in a post: "The Naas Roads Policing Unit were carrying out speed checks in North Kildare when they detected this novice drive travelling at 141kph in an 80kph area.
"They were stopped and the driver was arrested."
"Court to follow," the account added.
