Planning permission for a pre-school and after-school services with a crèche is being sought for a site in Kildare town.

MAAP Childcare Sallins Ltd is seeking permission from Kildare County Council to make the changes to the crèche site located in the Blackmillers Hill Estate, Rathbride Road, Kildare town.

A change to the crèche was previously granted under planning file PLG 22/1104, according to the application.

Permission is now being sought for pre-school and after-school services with crèche facilities in a two-storey unit (456 square metres).

In addition to the first-floor unit, a winter garden (89m2) and play garden (108m2) are proposed at first floor.

Planning permission is also being sought for a bin bay area, bicycle shelter, ground floor external play area (90m2) and all associated site works, while egress and exit from the crèche will remain as previously granted.

The date received on the application is listed as January 29.

The submission-by and due dates are listed as March 3 and March 24.

The business information website SoloCheck.ie lists the registered address of MAAP Childcare Sallins Ltd as Aughnacloy House,
Bawn, Stradbally, County Laois, R32 W5T7.

According to the website, the company specialises in 'child day-care activities.'
