St Brigid
The St Brigid’s Camino Walk Monday takes place on February 5 in Monasterevin.
St Brigid is reputed to have been born in the townsland of Umeras, just outside Monasterevin Co Kildare.
Monasterevin Parish have organised a camino walk in her honour. Startung at St Brigid’s Shrine at Mountrice W34X529 on the Monasterevin to Rathangan Road (R414) at 11am on Monday 5 February, car parking will be provided at Mountrice Cross .
The 6km walk will be led by Bishop Denis Nulty and will journey via Umeras then along the New Canal Blueway, finishing in St Peter & Paul Church W34KD61 Monasterevin with a Service of Light at 12.30pm. All welcome.
