Approval has been granted for a public realm project within Naas Enterprise Park between Naas and Newbridge.
Kildare County Council granted planning permission to Green Urban Logistics Naas Limited for the 8 hectare project.
The development works will take place primarily on Lime Drive and Rowan Tree Road and adjacent to Elm Road.
The carriage width will be reduced from 9m to 7m at selected locations as a traffic calming measure.
A two-way cycle track (3m wide) is planned on the northern sides of Lime Drive and Rowan Tree Road.
A 2m footpath on both sides of Rowan Tree Road will include eight crossing facilities at key points along the main carriageway.
The development includes public lighting, landscaping, seating areas, tree planting and paving.
A total of 15 bicycle parking spaces and six vehicle spaces are also in the designs.
Outdoor exercise facilities are included.
Naas Enterprise Park comprises more than 40.47 hectares (100 acres), and over 139,350 sq m (1.5 million square feet) of industrial and office accommodation.
The facility is currently home to more than 100 businesses employing more than 2,000 people.
