A 31-year-old man from Newbridge has been accused of committing an assault causing harm offence in Kildare town.
The accusation relates to one Cathal Fitzpatrick, with an address listed as 93 Moorefield Drive in Newbridge.
Gardaí present in Naas District Court on Thursday, November 23 last alleged that on August 1 last, the defendant allegedly assaulted a person while at a property located on Dublin Street in Kildare town.
When it was heard that no directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) were ready in relation to the case, Judge Desmond Zaidan adjourned it to May 2, 2024, to allow time for DPP directions.
He also marked the case peremptory against the State, and remanded the accused on continuing bail, until the case resumes.
