The next event of the West Wicklow Historical Society (WWHS) is the launch of their 12th Journal, which is taking place on Thursday, November 9.
The launch will run from 7.30pm to 9.30pm in the Coimín Centre, Main Street, Blessington.
It will feature a visual presentation by Aidan Cruise, WWHS member, on the Blessington Tram.
Admission is free and journals will be on sale at €15. They will also be available to buy in local outlets after the launch.

calsociety.ie at a cost of €20 including postage.
Since 1980, the West Wicklow Historical Society has worked to nurture and spread knowledge about and an appreciation of the historical heritage of the western side of County Wicklow and its environs.
The Society comprises a community of people who share these interests and who enjoy the social as well as the intellectual attraction of events run by WWHS.
“We aim to reach as broad an audience as possible and to emphasise the importance of history in understanding change and continuity in the world,” said the Society.
