Over 240 people attended a sell-out fashion show at Newbridge Silverware last Friday (29th of September). The show was run by Newbridge Silverware in conjunction with model agent and stylist, Mandy Maher, broadcaster and media personality Noel Cunningham and celebrity stylist to the stars, Marietta Doran.
Guests gathered for a sparkling drinks reception first at the Museum of Style Icons where they got a chance to see garments once owned and worn by the world’s most famous stars including Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and Princess Diana. Next, they took their seats for dinner in The Silver Restaurant which has been extensively extended and now includes a stylish and spacious light filled dining area called ‘The Drawing Room’.
The fashion show featured standout jewellery created and designed by Newbridge Silverware and garments from local boutiques including, Aria Boutique, Sinead Keary Designs, Divine Boutique, Geraldine O’Meara Designs, House of Logo, Curated at Kildare Village and menswear from The Man’s Shop in Newbridge, Co. Kildare.
Guests enjoyed a four-course dinner with wine and were highly entertained by the incorrigible, Noel Cunningham who had great banter with the audience and his co-hosts, Mandy Maher and Marietta Doran. There was also a raffle after dinner which raised over €2,000 for a local children’s charity, Sensational Kids.
Speaking on the night, The Silver Restaurant Manager, Ronan Mackey said, “We are delighted with this evening and are most grateful to Mandy, Noel and Marietta and of course all our own team for their hard work. The fashion show provided us with a great opportunity to show off our new extension which is now called ‘The Drawing Room’. People loved it and we are already taking bookings for the space for private events including a christening and even a wedding! Our next big event is a Christmas Cabaret on the 15th of December with the famous singer, Red Hurley and that will also include dinner.”
