KILDARE: Residents complaining about traffic congestion on Naas road

Tenders to be sought to extend footpath and cycle line along Kilcullen Road, Naas

Kilcullen Road, Naas

Action needs to be taken to traffic congestion on a busy Naas road.

The Kilcullen Road  has seen substantial residential development in recent years and the area is home to a number of schools including Piper's Hill College - the biggest co-educational school in the area

Cllr Bill Clear has asked Kildare County Council to confirm "the current situation regarding the traffic management study carried out by Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Broad at Pipers Hill given the serious traffic congestion in the area."

He's asking if the council has been provided with the study and if so can it be shared with the Naas councillors

Another councillor, Anne Breen, has asked the council provide a second entrance/exit to the Piper’s Hill area, "to help alleviate the serious traffic congestion being experienced by residents in the area."
