The Bundle of Sticks roundabout, Naas
A road on the outskirts of Naas is to be closed to facilitate works.
The Newhall Road (L2030) will close from the roundabout at the M7 Business Park to the roundabout at the Bundle of Sticks, close to the Lidl outlet.
According to Kildare County Council the closure is necessary to “facilitate essential bridge rehabilitation works at the M7 overbridge on Newhall Road.
Traffic moving southeast on the L2030 over the overbridge towards Naas will be diverted from the junction of the L2006/L2030 (Floods Cross) where it will turn right onto the L2006. Traffic will continue south on the L2006 to its junction with the R445 (Newbridge/Naas Road). Traffic will then turn left onto the R445 and continue on the R445 towards Naas for approximately 1.6 kms to the Bundle of Sticks roundabout where the diversion ends.
Traffic travelling northwest on the L2030 over the M7, Newhall Road overbridge towards the M7 Business Park and onwards to Rathangan will not be affected by the road closure.
Local access will be maintained for all private properties and businesses located between Floods Cross on the L2030 to the roundabout at the M7 Newhall Business Park, Naas.
The closure comes into effect on Monday next September 25 and the route will reopen on Friday December 22.
