KILDARE: New "Neighbourhood Centre" gets green light in Newbridge

A convenience store, café, deli, and 16 apartments are planned for a "neighbourhood centre" on the Station Road in Newbridge.

The facility will be opposite the Department of Defence in Piercetown.

Kildare County Council granted planning permission to applicant Andrew Cross for the three-storey and four-storey "neighbourhood centre" development.

Being build will be a convenience store with off-licence complete with coffee shop, delicatessen and toilets.

There will also be retail shop unit and a takeaway unit at ground floor level.

There will be 16 residential units consisting of six one-bedroom apartments, six two-bedroom apartments and four three-bedroom duplex units on the first, second and third floor levels.

Car parking and landscaping is also included in the development.

The estimate construction value of the project is over €3m, according to Construction Information Services database.
