A total of 58 new homes have been approved for the Sallins Road in Naas on a 1.26 hectare site.
Kildare County Council granted planning permission to Andrews Construction Limited.
The development in Oldtown Demesne will consist of 44 apartments/duplex units arranged in three blocks.
Also planned are 14 houses.
The designs include the formation of a new vehicular access and a new pedestrian/cycle access from the Sallins Road.
The nearby Oldtown House and its curtilage wall is a protected structure.
Also included in the plans are footpaths an ESB sub-station and landscaping works.
