Week-long road resurfacing works will begin in the Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District tomorrow.
Kildare County Council (KCC) said in a statement: "Please note that road resurfacing works will be carried out on the R416 Station Road from Monday, August 14, 2023 for a period of approximately 7 nights during the hours 8pm to 6am.
"Traffic management will be in place for the duration of the works.
"Your co-operation is appreciated, and any inconvenience caused is regretted," KCC added.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES
Northbound Traffic will be directed in a westbound direction on Main Street Newbridge (R445), towards the junction of R445/R416/L7041 beside the Liffey Bridge, traffic will directed to turn left onto the L7041 Canning Place/Sex Road, then travel northbound towards the Roundabout abutting Newbridge College.
At the Roundabout take the first exit staying on Sex Road (L7045) passing over Sex Bridge heading to the Roseberry Hill/Richardstown Roundabout, taking the first exit continuing on the L7045, travelling in a Westbound direction passing Sarsfields GAA Club to Byrnes Cross (Junction of the R416/L7045/L7036).
At Byrnes Cross turn left and head southbound on the R416, finishing back at the T Junction of Station Road & Páirc Mhuire Newbridge (R416 / L70691).
Southbound Traffic will be directed off the R416 onto the L7045 passing Sarsfields GAA Club to the Roseberry Hill/Richardstown Roundabout.
Continuing on the L7045 by taking the second exit and travelling in a Southbound direction, passing over Sex Bridge, at the Roundabout abutting Newbridge College, take the second exit on to the L7041 heading southbound to the junction of R445/R416/L7041(Canning Place / Main Street Newbridge).
At the junction of Canning Place / Main Street Newbridge, turn right onto the R445 (Main Street) and finish at the Junction of Station Road/Main Street & Edward Street Newbridge.
