Truck driver holding a phone while driving past school zone stopped by Kildare gardaí

Kildare gardaí have seized a truck from a motorist who was holding a phone while driving past a school zone.

Details of the incident were posted by the official Garda Traffic account on Twitter.

The post read as follows: "Naas Roads Policing Unit on patrol in North Kildare observed this driver on a regional road holding a mobile phone while driving past a school.

"A mobility app check revealed that the truck was untaxed for over eight years.

"Truck seized, fines issued and a court appearance to follow."
