PLANNING BRIEF: Change of use sought for betting shop in North Kildare

A change of use has been sought for a betting shop / book makers located on the Maynooth Road in Celbridge.

Planning permission documents lodged with Kildare County Council show that an applicant by the name of Jimmy McMahon is seeking to replace the present betting shop with a pharmacy.

Mr McMahon is also seeking permission for a single-storey extension to the existing building, comprising of two units.

The first unit would be an extension to the proposed pharmacy unit (Floor area: 48 metres squared) and the second unit would be a doctor's medical practice (Floor area: 134m2), in addition to associated site works.

The date received is listed as June 1, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as July 5 and July 26.
